This web page contains a lot of information
Fabric slings are custom made to fit the frame. Each frame is measured to get the correct size to fit the frame. Measurements are made to within 1/16”. New spline is included with the newly made sling. Fabric slings normally last 5-7 years with proper care. Some fabric slings have lasted as long as 10 years. How long the fabric sling last will be determined by many factors. Factors to fabric longevity are; how clean the fabric is kept, used around a pool, used on a deck, how much direct sunlight the furniture gets, suntan lotion, body oil, mold/mildew, amount of use, stored indoors or outdoors, and how fast it drys, are all factors to fabric longevity.
Through time, fabric color and style are deleted by the manufacture of the furniture. Having your sales receipt will be helpful for either warranty or out of warranty repair. The receipt should show the name brand of furniture, style number or name, fabric color code or name, and date of purchase.
Vinyl strapping on chairs over time fade, dry out, get stiff, and break. New vinyl straps can be installed one at a time or the whole chair can be restrapped. Just like the fabric slings there are many colors to choose from. Some chairs have slots that secure straps to the chair frame, some use rivets and others use special clips to secure vinyl strap to the frame. How you care for the vinyl strapping will determine its longevity.
For warranty work please work with your furniture dealer, or as directed by the warranty paperwork that came with the furniture. If you are having problems and the dealer is out of business or will not assist you, I will work to get the issue resolved for you.
We can work with your insurance company to get your patio furniture repaired if it was damaged by a storm.
Replacement parts available for lounge chairs, swivel chairs, dining chairs, bar stools, ottomans, tables, and umbrellas.
Some things to consider before throwing away your furniture:
- Bent frame might/might not be repairable and will depend on the extent of damage and parts availability.
- Sling chairs that have sling rails that are damaged can be replaced on most furniture brands.
- Cut, worn or faded fabric slings can be replaced.
- Other parts that are worn or missing can be replaced or installed: feet guides, sling rail end caps, lounge chair wheels, glider bearing arms, and umbrella rib clips to name a few.
- Through the years frame styles change or become obsolete, so replacing worn or broken parts will keep your set together.
- If the frame is damaged beyond repair, please remove all the plastic parts and fabric and take the frame to a recycling center.
- The amount you get for the metal can go toward a new chair or table.
- Many times it will be cheaper to repair your patio set than to replace it.
- If you are looking to replace your patio set have you considered these questions;
- 1) Do you like your current patio set, 2) Does it fit your needs, 3) Is it comfortable, 4) Have you tried out a new set at the store and does it compare to what you currently have, 5) Does it have the functionality you are looking for, 6) What about quality of the material (frames and fabric) of the new set verses your current set?
